The UK BUNGEE CLUB carries out its operation in accordance with BERSA code of safe practice. Copies are available to look at on site and guide-lines for local authorities are available. The UK BUNGEE CLUB were instrumental in the compilation of the BERSA code of safe practise, which was formulated in the late eighties in conjunction with the Health and Safety executive to provide the public and local authorities with strict guide-lines for the safe operation of Crane Bungee jumping in the UK. The most
important aspect of the code is REDUNDANCY. Basically this means that any task undertaken, or equipment used has a backup in procedure or hardware to safeguard our jumpers. We are happy to run through our system both on the
phone and on site to alleviate your concerns before jumping.
On the day of your jump the following checks are undertaken
- All Bungee cords, harnesses, The jump cage, Crane and all remaining equipment are checked twice by two seperate people. These checks are signed for before jumping commences.
- You are weighed twice by seperate people
- You are harnessed, attached to the correct cord and checked by 5 seperate people before jumping
Our staff have taken exams both written and practical with all training records available to view on request. All staff are in uniform and are trained in how to deal with apprehensive jumpers,
so don't worry just relax and enjoy your jump.
